Sascha Pretzsch steps up to Top Methanol Funny Car
No big announcements, but observant Facebook drag race followers must have taken notice of the short posts about a Swiss racer crossing the ocean to pick up a Top Methanol Funny Car. That Swiss racer was former Competition Eliminator driver Sascha Pretzsch, and yes, he is the new owner of the ex Sir Geoff Goodwin, Greg Hunter driven Synoil Racing TAFC Chevy Monte Carlo. Still a roof, but no doors anymore for Pretzsch, who will make his TMFC debut later this season, to go for a full FIA European Top Methanol Championship assault next year. Continue reading

With claiming the 2017 EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Twin Motorcycle Championship, Tommy Grimes was the first American rider to win a title in this prestigious drag bike series. Busy start for SFI Foundation re-certification tour in The Netherlands
The 2018 European SFI re-certification tour kicked off today in Heemskerk, The Netherlands. Racers and team members from Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and of course The Netherlands travelled to the Dutch Hot Rod Association headquarters in Heemskerk to re-certify wheels, bell housings, clutches and flywheel shields, to be race ready for the 2018 season. Iiro Reinola keeps EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Gas Bike title in the team
Iiro Reinola claimed the 2017 EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Gas Bike title and by doing so, the 25 year old Finn followed in the footsteps of his Sweet Cheek Racing teammate Janne Koskinen, who won the title the year before. Reinola didn’t only race his Suzuki, but also helped Koskinen in his first steps in Pro Stock Motorcycle last season. Reinola is one of those young Finnish riders with a long and bright future ahead of them, in a team that want to learn and make progress every year. Continue reading
Thomas Olsen’s dream season tastes moreish
With three race wins and only losing one elimination round out of four championship events, nobody deserved the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Pro Stock Motorcycle Championship better than Thomas Lysebraate Olsen. During the 2017 season many dreams came true for the 26 year old rider from Norway, as he not only won his first title, but he also won his first ever Pro Stock Motorcycle race and broke the 300 km/h barrier for the first time. “We know the competition will be tough, but we want to win the title once again in 2018,” said Olsen, looking forward to the start of his new season. Jan Sturla Hegre: the 2017 EDRS Pro Nordic MC title was a real team win
Jan Sturla Hegre won the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Top Fuel Motorcycle Championship last season for the second time in three years. After a title in 2015, the still only 30-year-old Norwegian rider bounced back from a number three position in 2016, to win the 2017 title by beating 2016 champion Thomas Pettersson. “We won the title at the last race of the season, the Dico Internationals at Tierp Arena, and it was a real team effort,” said Hegre, still proud of what the team achieved that weekend in August.
