Thomas Olsen’s dream season tastes moreish

With three race wins and only losing one elimination round out of four championship events, nobody deserved the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Pro Stock Motorcycle Championship better than Thomas Lysebraate Olsen. During the 2017 season many dreams came true for the 26 year old rider from Norway, as he not only won his first title, but he also won his first ever Pro Stock Motorcycle race and broke the 300 km/h barrier for the first time. “We know the competition will be tough, but we want to win the title once again in 2018,” said Olsen, looking forward to the start of his new season. Jan Sturla Hegre: the 2017 EDRS Pro Nordic MC title was a real team win

Jan Sturla Hegre won the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Top Fuel Motorcycle Championship last season for the second time in three years. After a title in 2015, the still only 30-year-old Norwegian rider bounced back from a number three position in 2016, to win the 2017 title by beating 2016 champion Thomas Pettersson. “We won the title at the last race of the season, the Dico Internationals at Tierp Arena, and it was a real team effort,” said Hegre, still proud of what the team achieved that weekend in August. New Norwegian entry in the Pro Modified class


The Pro Modified class is constantly growing and for the coming season we can present some new drivers and teams. From Norway we can see a new team being formed for the class. But the fact that Stian Rusånes and Erik Hammer of Hammer Motorsport will be joining this summer, could be the first sign of a trend with more Norwegian teams to appear in the Pro Mod class in the future.

Introducing Summit Racing Super Series for Pro ET and Super Pro ET

 

 

 

 

With the established Summit Racing EDRS Series serving as base, Summit Racing and Speedgroup introduce a new “series in the series” concept for the Pro ET and Super Pro ET classes 2018. Qualifying events are hosted May-August by a number of tracks in four countries, ending with a shooutout final event at Tierp Arena, Sweden August 23-26th!

Track champions from 13 (PRO ET) and 10 (SUPER PRO ET) participating tracks are eligible for a place in the final event hosted by the state of the art venue Tierp Arena in Sweden August 23-26th . During the final event these pre-qualified track champions can enjoy the opportunity to race each other for as well glory, trophies and monetary awards provided by Summit Racing!

FIA Championship and Nostalgia events with two new cars for Stig Neergaard

Never a dull moment when Stig Neergaard and his team are around. And that will be the same for 2018. Stig Neergaard Racing will debut a newly build Nostalgia Slingshot Top Fuel dragster at shows and events and will do the FIA European Top Fuel Championship as well. Neergaard will start the FIA season with the ‘Eye of the Storm’, but this well-known car will be replace by an ex Brittany Force Monster Energy car bought from the States.    Continue reading
