PTTM Musclecar Performance new partner of Vegter Pro Mod Racing

A new name will be added to both sides of the Vegter Pro Mod Racing ’67 Camaro. PedalToTheMetal Musclecar Performance have joined David Vegter as his main sponsor for 2016. The successful and fast expanding company from Sneek can therefore be mentioned in the same breath with the at least as successful and fast Dutch Pro Modified team, frontrunners in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. The team also announced that Adam Flamholc will be tuning the ’67 Camaro this season. Vegter made his first test run of the 2016 season last weekend at Malmö Raceway and was the quickest and fastest combination of all teams that attended the two day test.     Continue reading

Kuwait’s Hussain Al Shammari joins FIA European Pro Modified Championship

Kuwait’s Hussain Al Shammari, who has raced in PDRA in the USA as well as the Arabian Drag Racing League winning events in Qatar and Bahrain, will join the Pro Modified entry at the FIA Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway on 27th-30th May. Hussain confirmed to Eurodragster.com that he will be driving Norbert Kuno’s second blown-alcohol Avenger. Hussain plans to contest the whole FIA Tour. Continue reading

Pro Mod-driver Anders Nilsson up-grading

Anders Nilsson racing-team had a great season last year; Anders won the FIA race at Alastaro in Finland. This was his first FIA/EDRS win since he started racing in the Pro Modified. Anders ended up in seventh place in the FIA Drag racing Championship, fourth in the Swedish Drag racing Championship and third in the EDRS. The beautiful green Cuda is getting closer to what Anders had in mind when he started to race.

Magnus Petersson, owner and crew chief of The Old 51 Chevy Coupe Pro Mod, and driver Niclas Andersson had to make a tough decision this past week with Andersson’s back problems preventing him from competing on the FIA European Drag Racing Championship series.

Vegter Pro Mod Racing get an extra energy injection, as the Dutch drag racing team is proud to announce Playboy Energy Drink as a new partner. The world famous logo will be seen on the Vegter Pro Mod Racing ’67 Camaro in their 2016 FIA European Pro Modified Championship campaign. “A great name and a world famous logo, of course I’m very proud and happy to represent them”, said David Vegter. David Vegter is proud to announce that Sonic Equipment and his team Vegter Pro Mod Racing will extend their partnership for another year! In 2015 the name of the well-known hand tools company was seen on the Vegter Pro Mod Racing ’67 Camaro for the first time. Sonic and Vegter Pro Mod Racing were both happy with the results of their cooperation and so Sonic decided to support the team again in their 2016 FIA European Pro Modified Championship campaign. “I’m very proud that such a well-known company wants us to represent their name at the European race tracks for the second consecutive year. Thomas Stiefel saved his best for the last

After a very difficult start of his first season in Pro Modified, Thomas Stiefel had the European Finals he could only have dreamed of. The Swiss Pro Mod rookie couldn’t even make one run at the Main Event, but back at Santa Pod Raceway the beautiful orange Bel Air really took off. Stiefel reset his personal bests almost every run, was the number five qualifier and could only be stopped by European champion Michael Gullqvist in the quarter finals of eliminations. With this great performance the Swiss combination was the big surprise of the last race of the season. Continue reading
