Tierp Internationals 2018 have come to an end and it´s been a fantastic racing weekend, where winners were crowned and Drag Racing 50 years in Sweden was celebrated.
Rikard Gustafsson, Vesa Lipponen, Thomas Olsen and Mogens Lund number one qualifiers at EDRS Pro Nordic MC season-opener
Rikard Gustafsson (Top Fuel Motorcycle), Vesa Lipponen (Super Twin Motorcycle), Mogens Lund (Super Street Bike) and Thomas Lysebraate Olsen (Pro Stock Motorcycle) claimed the number one qualifying positions at the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena and will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations at the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. Anita Mäkelä (Top Fuel), Timo Habermann (Top Methanol), Jimmy Ålund (Pro Modified) and Bengt Ljungdahl (Pro Stock) claimed the number one qualifying positions at the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena and will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations at the second round of the 2018 FIA European Drag Racing Championship. Rikard Gustafsson stormed to a stunning 5.84 seconds to claim the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. In Super Twin Motorcycle Hans Olav Olstad claimed the number one qualifying position, while in Super Street Bike Mogens Lund stormed to a 6.98 seconds personal best to lead his category after two runs. Anita Mäkelä raced to the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena. In Top Methanol Timo Habermann is the leader after two runs, while Andreas Arthursson surprised in Pro Modified with a stunning 5.86 seconds and the number one qualifying position. In Pro Stock reigning champion Bengt Ljungdahl claimed the provisional number one qualifying position. Continue reading

The “Fordever family” steps up – meet them at Tierp Internationals
The Larsson family based in Färnäs, Sweden, is a genuine Ford family and of course also deeply involved in drag racing. Mother Annica has been racing for ages and her husband Lollo has always been there as a crew chief. And when daughter Angelica turned in to the right age for racing Jr Dragsters, the third family member was hooked to the sport.
Tierp Arena ready for their first round of the season
This coming weekend, Tierp Arena runs their first drag racing event of 2018, Tierp Internationals, and this is the 6th event in the 2018 Summit Racing EDRS Series. As of this writing, there are about 270 teams registered including the FIA classes. A big drag racing feast is coming up. Continue reading
