Antti Horto (Top Fuel), Dennis Habermann (Top Methanol), Michael Gullqvist (Pro Modified) and Bengt Ljungdahl (Pro Stock) claimed the number one qualifying positions at The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway and will lead their respective categories into Monday’s eliminations at the opening round of the 2018 FIA European Drag Racing Championship. Antti Horto raced to the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for The Main Event, the first race of the 2018 FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In Pro Modified reigning champion Michael Gullqvist stormed to a stunning 5.86 seconds to take the lead after two qualifying runs. The EDRS Members Memorial at Malmö Raceway offered a fantastic race weekend
The sun was shining over the Malmö dragstrip as well this weekend. About 80 teams had gathered at Malmö Raceway to fight for points in the Summit Racing EDRS Series and to get to the Super Series finals at Tierp Arena later this year. Stefan Jansson took that place for Super Pro ET and Richard Falkenberg snatched the one for Pro ET.
A sunny Spring Nats at Tallhed is completed
Spring Nats, Orsa, was more like a Summer Nats. Lovely sunny weather, happy racers and a great track crew that made a superb race weekend. Maybe some racers were a bit rusty as it was one of the first races of the season but now everything will get even better.
A great racingweekend at Motopark Finland
When elimination rounds go further other junior drivers are interested and cheer for their mate racers.
The racing sun have been shining all over Skandinavia this weekend. First race of Finnish Championship Serie was held in Motopark raceway in good mood and very nice weather conditions.
It’s time for the traditional Spring Nat’s at historic Gardermoen Raceway!
So far, about 100 teams have registered for the upcoming weekend’s first event of the 2018 Summit Racing EDRS Series at Gardermoen Raceway. Two EDRS-classes are represented at this race, the Super Pro ET/Pro ET Summit Super Series teams are competing for a place in the season finals that will be run in August at the 2018 Scandinavian Internationals at Tierp Arena.
The 2018 Members Memorial Race at Malmö Raceway comming up
Malmö Raceway is one of very few permanent drag strips in Sweden and often hosts the fastest and quickest doorslammers in Europe. This weekend they offer several classes ranging from Top Doorslammer to Jr Dragster and Jr Bikes. This is the first of two events of the Summit Racing EDRS Series that will be run at this very high quality track.
Spring Open at Tallhed open up the season in Orsa
The Summit EDRS Series continues with yet another stunning weekend where we run 4 (four!) events during the same weekend! Two in Sweden, Malmö and Orsa, one in Motopark, Finland, and one at Gardermoen, Norway. Be sure that the interest in drag racing is very high. This season we run more events than ever in the Summit Racing EDRS Series which is great news.
