There were no changes in the names of the number one qualifiers after Saturday qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena. So in Top Fuel Motorcycle Rikard Gustafsson claimed the number one position for tomorrow’s eliminations, while in Super Twin Motorcycle, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike Tommy Grimes, Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund also stayed in the number one position and will lead their respective categories into tomorrow’s eliminations. Antti Horto raced to the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In Top Methanol Sandro Bellio is the surprising leader after two runs. Jimmy Ålund made headlines by claiming the number one qualifying position is Pro Stock and Pro Modified as well!

Tommy Grimes raced to the number one qualifying position in Super Twin Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. In Top Fuel Motorcycle Rikard Gustafsson claimed the number one qualifying position. In Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund are the leaders at Tierp Arena after two Friday qualifying runs and still two qualifying runs on Saturday to go. Time to get ready for Tierp Internationals and the sign-up list looks very good for Summit Racing EDRS Series. Up on that we can present a new class for Sweden. Jr Drag bike is big in our neighbour countries and is now growing in Sweden as well, and for the first time we can see the class at Tierp Arena.

The Main Event from a different point of view
The FIA European Drag Racing Championship kicked off with the traditional Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway. After two great days of qualifying with sunshine and summer temperatures, mother nature had other ideas for elimination day, and before the semi-finals arrived, rain brought an early end to The Main Event. But looking at the competition in all classes, the elapsed times so early in the season, and some new young drivers making their licencing passes, it seems like we have a great season ahead of us. The qualifying and eliminations results were published on Dragracing Europe during the event, and all details can always be reviewed in the excellent live coverage on Eurodragster.com.
