An era has come to an end, this will be the last European Championship race at Alastaro Circuit. Next year we will meet up at Kauhava, that is the new Finnish championship track. But first we going to have fun at Alastaro Circuit and Nitro Nationals 2018.
Helloil Midsummer Festival – a real midsummer fest
Helloil Midsummer Festival at Tallhed Dragway, in Orsa last weekend, offered some windy weather for the racers but all in all a perfect racing weekend with a lots of qualification rounds. And of course, the traditional Midsummer celebration with over 70 persons around the table at the start line.

Finnish juniors had a tough fight for the wins at Alastaro Circuit
The second race in the Finnish Championship serie and the 7th one in the Summit Racing EDRS Series took place in the middle of June at the sunny Alastaro track. We were happy to see totally 34 junior entrants racing there. In both classes, Junior Dragster and Junior Bike, they were racing by extremely narrow margins by one thousandth of a second.
Flying start to the 2018 EDRS Pro Nordic MC season at Tierp Arena
The 2018 EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship kicked off with the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena, and what a season opener it was. Numerous personal bests, a record bump spot in Super Twin Motorcycle, stunning 5.8-second runs for Rikard Gustafsson in Top Fuel Motorcycle, Mogens Lund’s first 6-second run in Super Street Bike, close racing, surprise winners in several categories, and also important for a great drag race event, perfect weather and track conditions. The 2018 Tierp Internationals on track and from the pits
Less than two weeks after the season kick off in England, the FIA European Drag Racing Championship was back on track at the state-of-the-art Tierp Arena for round two, the Tierp Internationals. And once again the Tierp race had everything that makes drag racing so interesting; large numbers of entrants in all classes, record bump spots, exciting races, great elapsed times, holeshot wins and surprise winners. Anita Mäkelä, Dennis Habermann, Andreas Arthursson and Michael Malmgren winners at Tierp Internationals in Sweden
Anita Mäkelä from Finland raced to victory in the Top Fuel final of the Tierp Internationals, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena, Sweden. In Top Methanol Dennis Habermann defeated his brother and reigning champion Timo Habermann to take the win. In Pro Modified Andreas Arthursson surprised with a win and his first FIA trophy, while in Pro Stock Michael Malmgren made an end to a long winless period by defeating Stefan Ernryd in the final.
