Estonian Drag Racing Association invites all race car drivers and bike riders for a nice racing weekend at the lovely summer vacation resort of Haapsalu.
The Finnish Juniors take on the challenge at Alastaro in the Summit Racing EDRS Series
The seventh event of the Summit Racing EDRS Series is coming up, it’s the first such race at the Alastaro track in Finland this year, and the Jr Dragster and Jr Bike are the Summit Racing EDRS Series classes that will race here.
The “Fordever family” steps up – meet them at Tierp Internationals
The Larsson family based in Färnäs, Sweden, is a genuine Ford family and of course also deeply involved in drag racing. Mother Annica has been racing for ages and her husband Lollo has always been there as a crew chief. And when daughter Angelica turned in to the right age for racing Jr Dragsters, the third family member was hooked to the sport.
Tierp Arena ready for their first round of the season
This coming weekend, Tierp Arena runs their first drag racing event of 2018, Tierp Internationals, and this is the 6th event in the 2018 Summit Racing EDRS Series. As of this writing, there are about 270 teams registered including the FIA classes. A big drag racing feast is coming up. Continue reading
EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship kicks off at Tierp Arena
Only a few days to go and the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship kicks off with its traditional opener, the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena. Stability is what teams and promotors want and so the most prestigious motorcycle championship of Northern Europe once again counts six different categories and will be decided in four races. Tommy Grimes Jr., Thomas Lysebraate Olsen, Jan Sturla Hegre, Mogens Lund, Emil Östlund and Iiro Reinola are the 2017 champions and until a few weeks ago the great news was that they would all be back at Tierp to start their title defence. Unfortunately, The Beast Dragbike Team had to withdraw their entry as Grimes has to deal with some health issues and can’t come to Europe. Good number of participants in Summit Racing Super Series at Gardermoen
Spring Nats at Gardermoen started up the 2018 drag racing-season in Norway. A great event that offered some 13 qualification rounds before eliminations. The track was excellent, for some maybe a bit too good, but in all everyone was very satisfied with the very good track.
A great racingweekend at Motopark Finland
When elimination rounds go further other junior drivers are interested and cheer for their mate racers.
The racing sun have been shining all over Skandinavia this weekend. First race of Finnish Championship Serie was held in Motopark raceway in good mood and very nice weather conditions.
The Main Event, the lights turn green again for a challenging 2018 FIA European Drag Racing Championship
Only one week to go and the 2018 FIA European Drag Racing Championship kicks off with The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway. After a long winter, drivers, teams and fans are looking forward to the start of the new season where everybody has to start from zero again. And at The Main Event that zero has more than one meaning. All teams can forget their gathered Santa Pod data as they will have to find a new set-up for a brand new state-of-the-art all concrete racetrack! In all four categories the 2017 champions will defend their hard fought titles, but will once again meet tough competition as in all classes last year’s top contenders are back for more.
