The Main Event kicks off a thrilling 2016 FIA European Championship season
Less than a week to go and the 2016 FIA European Drag Racing Championship kicks off with The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway. All drivers will have to start from zero again and will do their very best to get their names on top of the championship standings after race one. In Top Fuel, reigning champion Micke Kågered will face some strong competition, but the same can be said about champions Thomas Lindström and Michael Gullqvist in Pro Stock and Pro Modified. Santa Pod’s 50th Anniversary will be celebrated in style with a fantastic opening of the 2016 FIA European Championship. Continue reading
Don’t miss the 2016 Contingency Program

A bit chilly but anyhow warming race weekend at Malmo Raceway
Even though it was a pretty cold weekend at Malmö Raceway the racing was still excellent. 73 teams showed as well as a few FIA teams using the weekend for testing. Among all we found Johan Lindberg testing his new team and the Old 51 before going to Main Event in England.
Season startup for Green Goblin
Last weekend the Goblin team went to Tierp Arena for some testing of the new gears that has been updated on the car. First round out went very well.
Malmo is race ready
Time for Malmoe to host the second EDRS race event for the season. About 75 team have signed in. The winner from last weekend’s JrD Championship Central Lucas Karlsson is on site as the RU Simon Andersson. And at the list we can see that Johan Lindberg is on site to fit in to the Old 51 and the team around that beautiful Chevrolet -51.
Frøya Raceway welcome spectators and racers
Teams has already started to arrive to the EDRS drag race event at spectacular island Frøya Norwegian and the staff works hard on the arena.
Jerry Lackey in full swing as the 31st NitrOlympX approaches
The NitrOlympX is always one of the highlights of the European drag racing season. The Hockenheimring facility, the special atmosphere of the Motodrome and of course the traditional Saturday Night Show all make this race of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship a special one. After the very successful 30th edition last year, number 31 promises to be even bigger and better. Now, with the start of the 2016 FIA season quickly approaching, it’s time for an interview with Jerry Lackey, who since 2009 has been the race director of the NitrOlympX and with 47 years in drag racing is one of the most experienced people in the sport.
