An excited Tommy Grimes heading for Europe
For the first time in his twenty years of racing, Tommy Grimes will make his debut on the European drag racing scene as he arrives at the Tierp Arena track for this weekend’s Scandinavian Internationals. Grimes is best known for riding the late Ray Price´s drag bikes during a ten year period with a lot of victories under his belt. Now he will enter the Super Twin Motorcycle category in the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship on Per Bengtsson’s famous parallel twin ‘The Beast’. Continue reading
Tierp Arena next – expect a big drag racing weekend, in all matters
Time to load trucks, trailers and cars for one of the biggest event ever in Scandinavia. Tierp Arena and Scandinavian International hosts so far 363 teams this weekend.
Racing and crayfish at Linde Open
The 33rd Linde Open started very well on Saturday with stunning 6 qualifying rounds. Something every one was satisfied with. The evening continued with the traditional crayfish dinner in the Jr pit. All junior teams get together here and brings the tables in a long row and fill them with crayfish and all other nice stuff there is to eat.
Tommy Grimes to ride The Beast in Sweden
Tommy Grimes, a 16-time NHRA Wally winner and four time season champion in Nitro Harley, will take over the riding duties of Per Bengtsson’s ‘The Beast’ at the Scandinavian Internationals, as the four time European Champion will not be able to ride The Beast himself at Tierp Arena. Continue reading

As a tradition – crayfish are on the table at Linde Open
One of the oldest tracks in Sweden is having their 33rd Linde Open event 20-21 of August and its crayfish time here in Sweden. What is something, at least the Junior drivers, highlights this weekend. That means long tables are set in the pit and all racers, crew and spectators bring crayfish for dinner.
The interest for drag racing in Russia is growing
It’s time for the second and third event in the Russian Drag Racing Championship 2016. And the interest by European drag racers to go est is growing. At this two events, for the first time, a European drag racing team participates. David Vegter from Holland have taken the opportunity to try the Russian drag racing track in Nizhny Novgorod, about 400 km east of Moscow.
