Anders Hörnström, Thomas Olsen, Peter Andersson and Mogens Lund winners at EDRS Pro Nordic MC round 1 at Tierp Arena

Anders Hörnström raced to victory in Super Twin Motorcycle at the season-opening Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena. In the final the Swede defeated Greger Johansson. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Thomas Lysebraate Olsen surprised in the final by defeating number two qualifier Robert Karlsson. There was an even bigger surprise in Top Fuel Motorcycle where Peter Andersson defeated Sverre Dahl in the final. Mogens Lund from Denmark was both quick and consistent and was the winner in Super Street Bike at the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. Continue reading
Duncan Micallef, Sandro Bellio, Bengt Ljungdahl and Michael Gullqvist win at Tierp Internationals in Sweden

Duncan Micallef from Malta raced to victory in the Top Fuel final of the Tierp Internationals, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena, Sweden. In Top Methanol Sandro Bellio surprised with a win in his first ever FIA race by defeating Dennis Habermann in the final. Reigning champion Michael Gullqvist was the winner in Pro Modified and reset the European record to 5.836 seconds, while Bengt Ljungdahl defeated Stefan Ernryd in the Pro Stock final to take the win. Anita Mäkelä (Top Fuel), Sandro Bellio (Top Methanol), Michael Gullqvist (Pro Modified) and Bengt Ljungdahl (Pro Stock) claimed the number one qualifying positions at the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena and will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations at round two of the 2017 FIA European Drag Racing Championship. There were no changes in the names of the number one qualifiers after Saturday qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena. So in Top Fuel Motorcycle Rikard Gustafsson claimed the number one position for tomorrow’s eliminations, while in Super Twin Motorcycle, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike Tommy Grimes, Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund also stayed in the number one position and will lead their respective categories into tomorrow’s eliminations. In Top Methanol Sandro Bellio is the surprising leader after two runs. Jimmy Ålund made headlines by claiming the number one qualifying position is Pro Stock and Pro Modified as well!

In Top Fuel Motorcycle Rikard Gustafsson claimed the number one qualifying position. In Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike Kalle Lyrén and Mogens Lund are the leaders at Tierp Arena after two Friday qualifying runs and still two qualifying runs on Saturday to go. Time to get ready for Tierp Internationals and the sign-up list looks very good for Summit Racing EDRS Series. Up on that we can present a new class for Sweden. Jr Drag bike is big in our neighbour countries and is now growing in Sweden as well, and for the first time we can see the class at Tierp Arena.
