The 2015 Pro-Stock champion will forever be listed as Thomas Lindström. The team that he won the championship with will equally be listed as Team R/T Ernryd cars. The PS 1 plate for 2016 will be attached to the Dodge Stratus once again, however the title sponsor will now be DK Lyft and the Ernryd cars name will adorn a different car with Ernryd cars owner Stefan Ernryd behind the wheel. Kuwait’s Hussain Al Shammari joins FIA European Pro Modified Championship

Kuwait’s Hussain Al Shammari, who has raced in PDRA in the USA as well as the Arabian Drag Racing League winning events in Qatar and Bahrain, will join the Pro Modified entry at the FIA Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway on 27th-30th May. Hussain confirmed to Eurodragster.com that he will be driving Norbert Kuno’s second blown-alcohol Avenger. Hussain plans to contest the whole FIA Tour. Continue reading

More races and new PBs for Björn Mårtensson

After licencing in 2014, Björn Mårtensson made his official Top Fuel debut in 2015 with three races in the FIA European Championship. This year, the Top Fuel driver and his Nitrobear team are stepping up their operation, and with five races, including Santa Pod, they want to do an almost full championship tour. “There’s nothing as cool as racing a Top Fueler! We learned so much last year with the tuning but also working together as a team. The NitrOlympX is always one of the highlights of the European drag racing season. The Hockenheimring facility, the special atmosphere of the Motodrome and of course the traditional Saturday Night Show all make this race of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship a special one. After the very successful 30th edition last year, number 31 promises to be even bigger and better. Good news for the fans of Urs Erbacher! The multiple FIA European champion will do the full FIA European Top Fuel Championship Tour in 2016! As expected, the very popular Top Fuel driver only has one goal, and that’s to bring back the FIA Championship to Switzerland. At the NitrOlympX Urs will be accompanied by his 21-year old daughter Jndia. Ida Johansson loves motorcycles, and she can’t help it – it must have been genetically determined. The Swedish student from Hofors got her first bike when she was only 3 years old, joined the Junior Drag Bikes when she was 14, and took over her dad’s ride in Super Gas Bike at the age of 16. Now, at 19 years old, it’s time for the next step, as Ida Johansson will follow in the footsteps of her father Niclas by taking over his Super Street Bike and make her entrance in the ‘no slick no wheelie bar’ class for the brave.
