We welcome Adam Flamholc back to Europe as he is going to contest the 2019 FIA European Pro Modified Championship. This year it will be in a two-car team together with Dmitry Samorukov out of Russia who will race a freshly built Camaro. The two cars are soon to be shipped to Europe after going some test rounds in the US.

Maja Udtian joins RFM for 2019 FIA European Top Fuel Championship campaign
For her first full season in the FIA European Top Fuel Championship Maja Udtian joins Rune Fjeld Motorsport. The 21-year-old Norwegian made her Top Fuel competition debut at the 2017 European Finals at Santa Pod Raceway and will now join forces with the famous team owner Rune Fjeld to make a full assault on the 2019 FIA European Top Fuel crown. “I’m so excited to work with Rune and his team. I know I still have to learn a lot, but I’m sure I have the best people around me for the next step in my career,” said the rising star of Norwegian Top Fuel racing. Continue reading

Two circles are complete for Stig Olsson
In 1976 Stig Olsson’s drag racing career kicked off with a nitro car he bought from Krister Johansson. Now, 43 years later and after many seasons in non-nitro categories, Olsson is the proud owner of a nitro car again. And that’s not the only circle that is complete for Olsson, as Johansson will assist Daniel Jedborn, who is also the driver of the StigO Motorsport A-Fueler, with tuning advice. “We bought the BSG Racing A-Fueler from Stefan Gunnarsson and after the licencing procedure we will field the car in the FIA European Top Methanol Championship,” said Olsson. Johnny Oksa’s comeback part two
After winning the 2016 FIA European Top Methanol Funny Car Championship, Johnny Oksa took a year off to come back at last year’s Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena. It was a dramatic return to the track as Oksa suffered a devastating crash in qualifying that brought an end to his season before it had even started. Shaken, not stirred, ‘the beast from Finland’ wanted to be back on track as soon as possible, and with a new car, Oksa will celebrate a second comeback in 2019! Continue reading

The FIA in Saint Petersburg, trophy for Anita Mäkelä and 2019 calendar confirmed
Last week the FIA World Motor Sport Council gathered in Saint Petersburg for the final 2018 FIA Annual General Assembly. Highlight of the meeting was of course the official FIA Prize Giving ceremony in the Grand Hall of the historic St Petersburg Philharmonia on Friday evening. During this annual gala the FIA champions received their FIA trophies. Drag racing was represented by FIA European Top Fuel champion Anita Mäkelä. Continue reading
