Jndia Erbacher, Sandro Bellio, Andres Arnover and Robin Norén number one qualifiers at Hockenheim

There were numerous improvements on the second day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing, round four of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. Friday leaders Jndia Erbacher (Top Fuel), Sandro Bellio (Top Methanol) and Robin Norén impressed again, improved their ETs and remained in the number one qualifying position. Only the Pro Modified category had a new leader after Saturday qualifying as Andres Arnover recorded a great 5,86 seconds to take over the number one position from reigning champion Jan Ericsson.

Jndia Erbacher, Sandro Bellio, Jan Ericsson and Robin Norén leaders after the first day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX

Jndia Erbacher raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX, the fourth round  of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing, Germany. In Top Methanol Sandro Bellio is the leader after two runs, while Jan Ericsson claimed the provisional number one spot in Pro Modified and Robin Norén is the provisional number one qualifier in Pro Stock.

After rain comes sunshine at Tierp Arena

The weather was not with the racers on race day during the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena. But in the end, all drivers and teams were happy that they could race at all, as eliminations started at 5 PM and when the curfew of 8 PM was there, Top Fuel, Top Methanol and Pro Stock had completed their semifinals and Pro Modified their quarterfinals. In Top Fuel Antti Horto and Timo Lehtimäki made the final an all Finnish affair, while in Pro Stock the two Swedes Jimmy Ålund and Stefan Ernryd would have had to race for the trophy. In Top Methanol Silvio Strauch would have been the winner as the driver from Germany had a bye run in the final.

Ida Zetterström, Tina Høst Nedregård, Andres Arnover and Jimmy Ålund remain the number one qualifiers at Tierp Arena

Although there were several improvements on day two of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena, the Friday leaders remained in the number one position with the ETs they recorded on day one. Thus Ida Zetterström is the number one qualifier in Top Fuel with 4.06 seconds, rookie Tina Høst Nedregård in Top Methanol, Andres Arnover in Pro Modified and Jimmy Ålund in Pro Stock and these four drivers will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations.

Ida Zetterström, Tina Høst Nedregård, Andres Arnover and Jimmy Ålund provisional leaders at Tierp Arena

Ida Zetterström raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, the third round  of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. In Top Methanol rookie Tina Høst Nedregård surprised with a great 5.26 seconds to claim the provisional number one position. Andres Arnover is the leader in Pro Modified, while in Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund claimed the provisional number one qualifying position after two runs.

Rain brings early end to Tierp Internationals

With the Top Fuelers in the line-up for their semi-finals, it started to rain at Tierp Arena, and with the forecast of more rain to come in the next couple of hours, the race director was left no other decision than to cancel the remaining rounds of the eliminations of the Tierp Internationals, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. At the moment the race was cancelled, all leaders in the championship after round one at Santa Pod Raceway were still in the race for a second consecutive win.

Ida Zetterström, Johnny Oksa, Andreas Arthursson and Jimmy Ålund number one qualifiers at Tierp Arena

On her last run of the day Ida Zetterström stormed to the lead in Top Fuel qualifying for the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In Top Methanol, Pro Modified and Pro Stock there were also numerous improvements and changes in positions, but Friday leaders Johnny Oksa (Top Methanol), Andreas Arthursson (Pro Modified) and Jimmy Ålund (Pro Stock) remained the number one qualifiers and will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations.

Stig Neergaard, Johnny Oksa, Andreas Arthursson and Jimmy Ålund leaders after the first day of qualifying at Tierp Arena

Stig Neergaard raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the Tierp Internationals, the second round  of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. In Top Methanol Johnny Oksa stormed to a great 5.54 seconds to claim the provisional number one position. Andreas Arthursson is the leader in Pro Modified, while in Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund claimed the provisional number one qualifying position after two runs.

Ida Zetterström, Linn Fløysvik and Jan Ericsson winners at season-opening The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway

Ida Zetterström raced to victory by defeating Susanne Callin in an all-female Top Fuel final at Santa Pod Raceway. Zetterström, from Åland, Finland, made her race day perfect by resetting both sides of the FIA European record in the semi-final with 3.773 seconds and 321.01 mph. Jan Ericsson, from Sweden, defeated home favourite Bobby Wallace to take the win in Pro Modified. In the Top Methanol final Linn Fløysvik took the win over Silvio Strauch. It was the first win in the FIA European Championship for the female driver from Norway.

Susanne Callin, Sandro Bellio and Jan Ericsson number one qualifiers at The Main Event

Susanne Callin (Top Fuel), Sandro Bellio (Top Methanol) and Jan Ericsson (Pro Modified) claimed the number one qualifying positions at The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway and will lead their respective categories into Monday’s eliminations at the opening round of the 2023 FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In front of a massive and enthusiastic crowd Callin also reset the FIA European speed record to 320.20 mph!
