The no-bar Super Street Bike class promises to be a barnstorming in 2024 with new and returning entries to the FIM-E championship series and the increasing agglomeration of ‘super’ teams very much in evidence. One of these includes current champion Alan Morrison Jnr aiming at a repeat this season.

The form runner in Pro Stock Bike after finishing in the runner-up spot in 2022 and taking his second championship last year, Bertrand Maurice enters this season hoping the Light Speed Suzuki will skip the breakages that caused a lot of work and headaches.

Current FIM-E Top Fuel Bike champions, Rikard Gustafsson and the RG Engineering team haven’t been resting on their laurels during the ‘off’ season. The Swede started off 2023 running PBs of 5.742s and 260.65mph [FIM-E speed record] and are looking to push further this year.

After kicking off the 2024 European SFI re-certification tour at Santa Pod Raceway on the Tuesday, it was time for the Dutch stop on the Thursday morning, March 13. Racers and team members from Germany, The Netherlands and even Italy, travelled to Hotel Ibis, located almost at Schiphol Airport, to re-certify parts to be race ready when the new season kicks off in a few weeks.
