Drag Racing Europe AB to become FIA European Drag Racing Championship promoter
A newly-formed consortium comprised of representatives of drag racing venues and organisers is set to become the FIA European Drag Racing Championship’s first-ever promoter, providing the series with a stable base for growth and expansion.

Well, the predicted hotter temperatures on Saturday at the NitrOlympX, Hockenheimring, Germany were not false, with the track, crew, racers, spectators and press sweltering (and sweating if the truth be told) under the cloudless skies, it was always going to be a question of endurance. Unfortunately, a hefty crash in the car classes and a looming cut off presented by… checks notes… a women’s world championship boxing contest… restricted the FIM-E classes to just a single outing today on the Rico Anthes Quartermile.

The opening day of FIM-E qualifying at the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, Tierp Arena, Sweden, delivered some pretty stout numbers across the four contested classes and with two sessions down and another day of qualifying to come tomorrow.
