Bertrand Maurice upgrades and targets PBs

The form runner in Pro Stock Bike after finishing in the runner-up spot in 2022 and taking his second championship last year, Bertrand Maurice enters this season hoping the Light Speed Suzuki will skip the breakages that caused a lot of work and headaches.

“The word of last season was ‘consistency’. That was the main thing we were working on after the dramatic 2022 season. But, even if we managed to find it and won the championship, we wounded both of our engines and ended the season with one pulled together and that broke on our last run in the final at the Euro Finals.

So this winter was about refreshing those. The spare engine is the same as last year, but not the main one. Our main engine 2V Vance & Hines head is like new after a complete overhaul by V&H in the USA and we’ve upgraded from 1755 to 1850cc. The work Vance & Hines have done is awesome. We also changed our data acquisition to get more information.

With NGK NTK France as our main sponsor again this year and Herve Tanquerel (partner and crew member), we aim for a PB, first with a 7.0 on the 1/4. And we dream about a 6.9 but it will surely be a lot of work.”

With the bigger bullet in the frame the French team will definitely be in contention for a championship repeat.
