Rapid Rikard Gustafsson seeks improvement

Current FIM-E Top Fuel Bike champions, Rikard Gustafsson and the RG Engineering team haven’t been resting on their laurels during the ‘off’ season. The Swede started off 2023 running PBs of 5.742s and 260.65mph [FIM-E speed record] and are looking to push further this year.

“Our 2024 season started in October last year when we started to order parts. In November I went over to MTC in US to make some small changes on our piston design. After running the same piston sets since 2015 it was time to replace them together with a lot of other stuff.”

“We’ve also fitted a new blower from JM Tech, a new Waterman fuel pump etc. and made changes to the clutch set up”

Having shaken off the fuel delivery problems that beset the second half of his championship tour last year, it will take a lot to stop the Swede in his quest for a fifth title in 2024.

“We’re looking forward to this season and hope to step up our program even more!”

FIM-E Main Event takes place at Santa Pod Raceway, England, May 24-27th 2024
