2020 calendar – as far as we know, now
We wish there was some better news than this to share with you, but unfortunately not, yet. We can only tell you what we know so far, for you to plan the season.
Tierp Internationals cancelled
It is with heavy hearts we have to inform you that we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena on June 4-7 which would have included rounds of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, EDRS Pro MC series and Summit Racing EDRS Series, as a result of the restrictions in place because of the Covid-19 virus. Full FIA Top Fuel tour for Susanne Callin
After a 14-year break from the FIA European Top Fuel Championship, Susanne Callin made her comeback last season to see if the feeling was still there and if driving a Top Fuel car was really what she missed so much in all those years. Everybody knew the answer in advance and as expected, after only two runs there was the confirmation. As a result, the comeback is definite and Callin will do the full FIA European Top Fuel Championship in 2020! “Testing days are over and I am all in!” said a determined Susanne Callin. Al Smith and ‘The Rocket’ PBR Top Fueler in EDRS Pro Nordic MC
Phil Baimbridge’s ‘The Rocket’ PBR Top Fuel Bike, raced by Al Smith, has an expanded race itinerary for 2020 encompassing three championships. Al Smith and the team will be competing in all rounds of both the ACU UK Championship and the FIM-European Drag Bike Championship and also plan to visit Tierp Arena in Sweden in June for the opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship and, if arrangements allow, go to Kauhava in Finland at the end of June for the EDRS Pro Nordic MC second round. Registration Tierp Internationals is open
The registration for the Tierp Internationals is open! The Tierp Internationals is one of the major events at Tierp Arena. The Tierp Internationals is the second round of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, the opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship and EDRS Pro Series and a round for the Summit Racing EDRS Series. Ida Zetterström chasing one and a half championship
Life is about making choices, even for reigning EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Street Bike champion Ida Zetterström. After her best season ever, with new personal bests, a race win and the title, Zetterström will not be able to defend her title as she will do the full FIM Super Street Bike championship. Time and money-wise two championships in one year is too much this year. But no worries, the Finnish fan favourite can still be admired at the two Tierp Arena races and probably Gardermoen – three of the five rounds of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship.
