Rikard Gustafsson stormed to a stunning 5.83 seconds to claim the number one qualifying position in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the FHRA Nitro Nationals, the second round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at the brand new drag racing facility in Kauhava, Finland. In Super Twin Motorcycle Marcus Christiansen claimed the provisional number one qualifying position with a great 6.42 seconds. Pro Stock Motorcycle and Super Street Bike both have a Finnish number one qualifier so far. Anita Mäkelä raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the FHRA Nitro Nationals, round three of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at the brand new drag racing facility in Kauhava. With her elapsed time of 3.98 seconds, the reigning FIA European Top Fuel champion also recorded the first 3-second Top Fuel run in the history of Finnish drag racing. In Top Methanol Jonny Lagg is the leader after day one, while David Vegter stormed to a stunning 5.866 seconds in his first run on the new track to take the lead in Pro Modified. Anita Mäkelä from Finland raced to victory in the Top Fuel final of the Tierp Internationals, round two of the 2019 FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena, Sweden. The reigning champion defeated Micke Kågered. In Top Methanol Jonny Lagg defeated Silvio Strauch to take the win. In Pro Modified Jan Ericsson took the win over David Vegter, while in Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund defeating Michael Malmgren in the final. Filippos Papafilippou raced to victory in Top Fuel Motorcycle at a record setting season-opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena.  After resetting the European Top Fuel Motorcycle record to a great 5.783 seconds, the rider from Greece surprised Rikard Gustafsson in what looked like a lost final. In Super Twin Motorcycle reigning champion Marcus Christiansen started his title defense with a win in the final over Gert-Jan Laseur, while Kalle Lyrén reset the European record and defeated multiple European champion Fredrik Fredlund to take the win in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
