David Vegter in season best ET to semi-finals at EDRS Sweden Nationals

After claiming the runner-up position at The Main Event, David Vegter continued his impressive start of the season with a semi-final finish and best ET of the season at the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena. The Dutchman’s 5.847 seconds was not far from his personal best. The EDRS Sweden Nationals was round one of the Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified Series and Swedish Pro Modified Championship and with almost all of the Scandinavian top teams at present, the race had an extremely competitive line-up.

Jan Sturla Hegre from Norway raced to victory in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena. In Super Twin Motorcycle Samu Kemppainen won an exciting final over Ismo Mäenpää, while in Super Street Bike Anders Blanck was by far the best in eliminations. In Pro Stock Motorcycle the trophy was for Frederik Kirkhoff Schack from Denmark.

Jan Ericsson raced to victory in the Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified final of the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena. After a race full of upsets, the reigning FIA European Pro Modified champion defeated surprise finalist Stian Rusånes from Norway. In Top Methanol Daniel Jedborn claimed the win against another surprise finalist, Top Methanol Funny Car rookie Magnus Larsson. In Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund won the trophy after defeating Richard Sundblom, who suffered traction problems in the final. Stefan Winter, Birgitta Lindström and Bo Nylund were the winners in Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock respectively after also action packed eliminations.

After another great day of qualifying the three Friday leaders, Andreas Arthursson (Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified), Jonny Lagg (Top Methanol) and Jimmy Ålund (Pro Stock) claimed the number one qualifying positions at the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena and will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations. Roger Forsström remained the number one qualifier in Competition Eliminator, while in Pro Street and Stock Super Stock Christer Åberg and Thomas Strand took over the number one qualifying positions.

Andreas Arthursson raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified at the first day of qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena. In Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund claimed the provisional number one qualifying position while in Top Methanol Jonny Lagg is the leader after day one. Roger Forsström, Michael Maderer and Jonas Bengtsson are the provisional leaders in Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock.

Jan Sturla Hegre (Norway) claimed the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals, the first round of the 2022 EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. In Super Twin Motorcycle Ismo Mäenpää from Finland stormed to a great 6.66 seconds to secure the provisional number one qualifying spot, while in Super Street Bike Mathias Bohlin and in Pro Stock Motorcycle Frederik Schack claimed the number one position after the first day of qualifying, with still two qualifying runs on Saturday to go.
