Andreas Arthursson, Jimmy Ålund and Jonny Lagg shine in EDRS Pro Cars at first day of qualifying at Tierp Arena

Andreas Arthursson raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified at the first day of qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena. In Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund claimed the provisional number one qualifying position while in Top Methanol Jonny Lagg is the leader after day one. Roger Forsström, Michael Maderer and Jonas Bengtsson are the provisional leaders in Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock.

Sunshine, high temperatures, but also some rain drops made it an interesting first day of qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena.

Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified was as always spectacular and exciting, even if the teams were only able to make one run on the Friday. No fewer than four drivers recorded a 5-second run! Leader after day one is Andreas Arthursson who recorded a great 5.780 seconds, not far from his personal best (5.75 seconds).

Jan Ericsson claimed the provisional number two position with 5.93 seconds and Marck Harteveld from The Netherlands surprised with a great 5.98 seconds to claim the provisional number three position. Mats Eriksson was the fourth driver with a 5.9-second run.

In Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund is once again the leader after day one. The multiple FIA European Pro Stock champion stormed to a great 6.635 seconds to claim the number one position.

Stefan Ernryd is second (6.67 seconds) and   Lasse Britsmar third.

In Top Methanol Jonny Lagg claimed the number one spot with a great 5.45 seconds with Silvio Strauch in his first run in more than two years second and Top Methanol Funny Car rookie Magnus Larsson third.

In Competition Eliminator Roger Forsström is the number one qualifier, with Jens Eklund second and Stefan Winter from Switzerland third.

Pro Street is as close as usual with Michael Maderer from Germany in the number one position and Alexandra Wingård and Trond Nordby second and third. In this 21-car field no fewer than 14 cars qualified within 0.9 seconds op each other.

Stock Super Stock is a 30-car field with Jonas Bengtsson in the provisional number one qualifying position. Thomas Strand is second and Uffe Edwardson third.

Qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals continues Saturday.
