Jan Sturla Hegre, Ismo Mäenpää, Mathias Bohlin and Frederik Schack Friday leaders at Tierp Arena

Jan Sturla Hegre (Norway) claimed the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the first day of qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals, the first round of the 2022 EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. In Super Twin Motorcycle Ismo Mäenpää from Finland stormed to a great 6.66 seconds to secure the provisional number one qualifying spot, while in Super Street Bike Mathias Bohlin and in Pro Stock Motorcycle Frederik Schack claimed the number one position after the first day of qualifying, with still two qualifying runs on Saturday to go.

Sunshine, but also a few spots of rain, and some fast runs made it an interesting first day of qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals at Tierp Arena.

In Top Fuel Motorcycle Jan Sturla Hegre was the man to beat with a great 6.64 seconds to claim the provisional number one position, with his countryman from Norway Sverre Dahl in second (6.69 seconds) and Jaska Salakari (Finland) third.

In Super Twin Motorcycle Ismo Mäenpää impressed with a great 6.66 seconds in his first run to claim the provisional number one qualifying position with Torsti Kettula from Finland second and Frank Aaslund (Norway) third.

In Super Street Bike Mathias Bohlin recorded 7.24 seconds and that made him the number one qualifier after Friday, with Jens Karlsson second and Anders Blanck third.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle Frederik Kirkhoff Schack from Denmark was quickest with 7.37 seconds.

Qualifying for the EDRS Sweden Nationals continues on Saturday.
