For the third time this year a Top Fuel driver from the FIA European Championship was honoured by a National Sport Federation for their achievements in the 2016 season. A great honour and a recognition for the sport of drag racing. With five FIA European Pro Modified Championship titles in the last six years, Gullqvist is the man to beat in the ultimate doorslammer category of drag racing. Jonny Lagg is waiting a new challenge to win a second consecutive title
Jonny Lagg is the 2016 FIA European Top Methanol Dragster champion, and at least for a while, the Swede will be the last one. Starting this season, Top Methanol Dragster and Top Methanol Funny Car will race in one category, and to win another championship, Lagg will not only have to beat his Dragster companions, but also their full bodied counterparts.
