Sven Klut, Jaap Blom, Andy Robinson, Lars-Göran (LG) Eriksson, Gerard Roelofsen and Luke Robinson

After kicking off the 2025 European SFI re-certification tour at Santa Pod Raceway on the Tuesday, it was time for the Dutch stop on the Thursday morning, March 13. Racers and team members from Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and of course The Netherlands, travelled to Hotel Ibis, located almost at Schiphol Airport, to re-certify parts to be race ready when the new season kicks off in a few weeks.

The Dutch Hot Rod Association, represented by Jaap Blom and Gerard Roelofsen, together with Sven Klut, were host to the Dutch stop on the European SFI re-certification tour. Luke and Andy Robinson and Lars-Göran (LG) Eriksson once again were on duty to do the re-certification.

Until almost 10.30 am it was busy for the SFI crew. First one to arrive was Pro Modified racer Marck Harteveld, while Bruno Bader was also early as the Swiss Pro Mod driver arrived on the Wednesday evening. Because everybody was in time, the SFI crew were ready before 12 pm to catch their flight to Helsinki for the third stop on the European tour on Friday.

Bell housings, flex plates and clutches, were popular items to be re-certified. FIA Pro Mod driver Michel Tooren made a quick visit to Badhoevedorp, but also many Sportsman racers from the Netherlands like Hans van der Spek, Stevan Reffeltrath, Niek de Kruif and Willy Reerink.

From Germany came Michael Winter, Clarissa Czekalla, a mechanic of Thomas Ranft and Top Methanol Funny Car driver Jürgen Nagel. Many racers had parts with them from other drivers, like Bruno Bader who had several boxes with him. Sven Klut had parts for re-certification from Silvio Strauch.

Friday, March 14, the SFI re-certification tour continues in Finland where the FHRA are host to the third stop on the tour. Saturday the SFI crew will have a busy day at ME Racing Service AB, Borlänge, Sweden.
