Mogens multitasks and heading for Summit
Class veteran Mogens Lund has seen a lot of things in FIM-E Super Street Bike, but after taking a tenth off his PB with a 6.826 in qualifying at the SpeedEvents Internationals back at the start of June, followed by a couple of blow-ups halted any progression in eliminations, the Dane has had a lot to do before the championship resumes early August.
“After heading back from Tierp in June, and pleased with the new PB, but not so much with the double engine damage, our purchase department [that’ll be Mogens] had their work cut our finding the parts that was needed to put it all back together.
This had to be coordinated with the finance [Lund…] and the mechanic [Lund again] to find out what really was needed. Then the crew chief [ML] had to double check with the driver and then the team owner had to approve it all [you guessed it – Mogens again multi-tasking].
So after talking to all the little voices in my head, we now have two working engines ready for the next round in Sweden where we hope for a not so demanding weekend.
I would like to thank everyone (especially sponsors Inrocs Lubricants and Turbo DK) who helped me getting it all back together.”
The August event in Sweden has provided to be a happy hunting ground for Lund in previous years, including the FIM-E class win back in 2022 (2023 being a rainout).
