Speedy’s Racing, the multiple FIM-E Super Twin championship winning team of Marcus Christiansen and father Claus, continue their undefeated reign in competition to head the season’s points chase. However, the competition is getting very tight and the Danish duo are far from complacent. Following on from the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, we caught up with Marcus for his thoughts on the forthcoming challenges:

To say the first half of the FIM-E season has been a frustrating one for the Belgium American Lifestyle Super Twin team would be something of an understatement. Struggles at the rained off Main Event were then followed a surprising DNQ in Sweden at the start of August when the bike refused to stay straight. However, team principal and rider Chris van Nimmen still sees the positives:

The Swedish summer usually means sun, long days and plenty of fika, this wasn’t quite the experience of Team Brothers at the recent Summit Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena just north of Stockholm. The trip didn’t get off to the best of notes with Margot and Stefan Schmidt (FIM-E Super Street Bike) stranded on the roadside with a wounded transporter. Once they arrived at the track and met up with team mate Eric Richard (FIM-E Top Fuel Bike) things didn’t progress as planned. Catching up with Margot after the meeting:

Bertrand Maurice and the French Light Speed FIM-E Pro Stock Bike team left Sweden in fine fettle having picked up the event win, a new personal best and the points lead with two events on the calendar remaining.
