Susanne Callin, Jan Ericsson, Daniel Jedborn and Michael Malmgren leaders after the first day of qualifying for the European Finals

Susanne Callin is the provisional number one qualifier in Top Fuel after the first day of qualifying for the European Finals, the fourth and final round of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Santa Pod Raceway in England. In Top Methanol Daniel Jedborn impressed with a great 5.30 seconds to take the lead after day one, while Jan Ericsson stormed to a great 5.81 seconds to take the lead in Pro Modified. In Pro Stock Michael Malmgren claimed the provisional number one qualifying position with a great 6.60 seconds ET.

Susanne Callin, Michel Tooren, Jonny Lagg and Jimmy Ålund winners at Hockenheim

Susanne Callin raced to victory in the Top Fuel final of the NitrOlympX, round three of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRIng. It was the first win for Callin this season. In a close Pro Modified final Michel Tooren claimed the victory over Andres Arnover as a result of a better reaction time.  In Top Methanol Jonny Lagg defeated Sandro Bellio. In Pro Stock it was once again Jimmy Ålund who won the final, but the margin over Stefan Ernryd was only a few hundredths of a second.

Ida Zetterström, Jonny Lagg, David Vegter and Jimmy Ålund leaders after the first day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX

Ida Zetterström raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX, the third round  of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing in Germany. In Top Methanol Jonny Lagg is the leader after two runs with 5.49 seconds. David Vegter claimed the provisional number one spot in Pro Modified with a great 5.93 seconds on his first run of the day, while in Pro Stock Jimmy Ålund is the provisional number one qualifier.

Ida Zetterström, Michael Gullqvist, Robin Norén and Daniel Jedborn winners at Tierp Arena

Ida Zetterström raced to victory in the Top Fuel final of the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. It was the first win for Zetterström in only her second race of her rookie season in Top Fuel. In a close Pro Modified final Michael Gullqvist claimed the victory over Marck Harteveld. In Top Methanol in an all Swedish final Daniel Jedborn won over Jonny Lagg. In Pro Stock Robin Norén surprised with a win in the semifinal over Jimmy Ålund and then took the win in the final as well.

Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock kick off EDRS Pro Cars qualifying at Tierp Arena

Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock kicked off qualifying in EDRS Pro Cars at the Summit Racing Equipment International at Tierp Arena. Gideon Liljegren is the leader after the first day in Competition Eliminator, while Christer Åberg took the provisional number one spot in Pro Street. In Stock Super Stock Timo Eronen is the number one qualifier after four runs.

Sverre Dahl, Ismo Mäenpää, Kalle Lyrén and Kenneth S. Laget winners at Gardermoen Drag Challenge

Sverre Dahl from Norway raced to victory in Top Fuel Motorcycle at the Drag Challenge at Gardermoen Raceway, the second round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. In Super Twin Motorcycle Ismo Mäenpää recorded great numbers and won the final from the number one qualifying position. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Kalle Lyrén was in a class of his own and took the win, while in Super Street Bike Kenneth S. Laget claimed the victory after number one qualifier Anders Blanck ran into problems in the final.

Deserved winners and records broken at The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway

After a 2-year break, the FIA European Drag Racing Championship is back on track again. And what a start it was with The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway. Reigning Pro Modified and Top Methanol champions Jan Ericsson and Sandro Bellio made their first move to retain their titles by claiming victory in their respective categories. As icing on the cake, Ericsson also reset the European Pro Modified ET record to 5.724 seconds. In the Top Fuel category Antti Horto was the winner, but Ida Zetterström made headlines with a new European record and made history by recording the first 3.7-second run in Europe with a stunning 3.782 seconds.
