Old skills meet new enthusiasm
A familiar car with a new driver is coming out at the tracks this summer. Per Magnusson from Gothenburg is an active and skilled guy that always have been interested of motorsports. Now he got his hands on a well-known Pro Modified car and the former driver of that car as crew chief.
After having time out from drag racing Patrik Wickström is now returning to the tracks. This time Patrick will take on the role as crew-chief for Per Magnusson in his rookie season. Per, who always have been fascinated by everything with a motor in it, has never been active in drag racing before.
– I have been involved in circuit- and go-cart racing with my Team PM Racing, says Per. Now I’ve got the opportunity to buy Patricks Camaro, the same car he’d been so successful with over the years. And when Patrick also offered his assistance to be the crew chief I just couldn’t resist it. Our goal right now is to race both Tierp events and if that works well we might try some more events too. Then we take it from there.
Patrik Wickström have been among the top 10 drivers in Pro Modified since 1999. But after 2013 Patrick took a time out from drag racing. Patrick was European Champion in 2001,2005 and Swedish Champion 2004. Now we will meet these two guys in a, what we can expect, a great combo of experience and knowledge on the racetracks during next season.
Team PM Racing, welcome to the drag racing family and the Pro Modified class in 2018!
