Crane stays put, Bengtsson, Mechaell, Lymant and Smallman take the top spots

Saturday at the NitrOlympX saw a bit of catching up in the FIM-E classes after yesterday’s early finish. Three rounds were completed today to give the full stanza of qualifying shots with plenty of improvements in the five classes and a new record bump spot.

It was a great second day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing, round three of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. Friday leaders Jndia Erbacher (Top Fuel) and Jimmy Ålund (Pro Stock) remained in the number one position, but in Top Methanol Jonny Lagg took over the number one spot, while in Pro Modified David Vegter was a dominant force and claimed the number one position.

A frustrating and long day at the Hockenheimring had some skatey conditions, long delays (largely not from the FIM-E bikes) and some visitors from the Planet Cloud to bring the curtain down with most classes having only completed a single qualifying session.

Jndia Erbacher raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX, the third round of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing, Germany. In Top Methanol Tony Bryntesson is the leader after two runs, while Mats Eriksson is the leader in Pro Modified. In Pro Stock it is once again Jimmy Ålund in the number one qualifying spot.

Susanne Callin raced to victory by defeating Liam Jones in the Top Fuel final for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena, round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. In Top Methanol Tina Høst Nedregård won the final over Tony Bryntesson, while Jere Rantaniemi and Robin Norén defeated Marck Harteveld and Jimmy Ålund respectively in the finals to claim the wins in Pro Modified and Pro Stock.

As expected there were many improvements on the second day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena. As a result in Top Fuel Susanne Callin took over the number one qualifying position and in Top Methanol Tony Bryntesson was the new leader at the end of day two. In Pro Modified and Pro Stock there were also many improvements, but Friday leaders Jere Rantaniemi and Jimmy Ålund remained in the number one position. These four drivers will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations of round two of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship.
