Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock kick off EDRS Pro Cars qualifying at Tierp Arena

Competition Eliminator, Pro Street and Stock Super Stock kicked off qualifying in EDRS Pro Cars at the Summit Racing Equipment International at Tierp Arena. Gideon Liljegren is the leader after the first day in Competition Eliminator, while Christer Åberg took the provisional number one spot in Pro Street. In Stock Super Stock Timo Eronen is the number one qualifier after four runs.

Sunshine, high temperatures and excellent track conditions made it a great first day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena. The programme was running that smooth, that an extra run was added to the schedule and all categories were able to make four instead of three runs.

In Competition Eliminator Gideon Liljegren claimed the number on spot, with Krister Adeen in second position and Max Hoffbrandt third.

In Pro Street the field was extremely close as usual. Christer Åberg recorded the almost perfect 7.6007 seconds to claim the number one position after four runs.

Michael Maderer from Germany was close behind with 7.603 second and number three, Tommy Abrahamsson recorded 7.604 seconds. In the 28-car field no fewer than 15 cars recorded an ET in the 7.6-second zone.

In Stock Super Stock Timo Eronen is the number one qualifier in the 35-car field. Thomas Strand is the number two qualifier, with Jarmo Grönman in third position.

Qualifying for the EDRS Pro Cars continues on Friday. On Friday all other categories in EDRS Pro Cars, Bilsport EDRS Pro Modified, Pro Stock and Top Methanol will have their first two runs of the weekend. It will be an action packed day at Tierp Arena as also the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, FIM Europe Drag Bike European Championship and EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship will start with their qualifying runs, while all other EDRS classes will continue with qualifying.
