Time to buckle up for Summit Racing Internationals 2022 at Tierp Arena

Next weekend is the time of the year in terms of European drag racing. Tierp Arena is finally opening for major competition again, where pretty much every FIA, FIM, EDRS Pro and Summit Racing EDRS Series class will compete. Don’t miss Summit Racing Internationals 2022!

Just like in June, Summit Racing Internationals 2022 is organized by Speedgroup and NDRS Motor Club. With about 290 teams registered from all around Europe, this will be the biggest European event this season. In the Summit Racing EDRS classes, the attendance is huge.

Among other things, the wheelie prone class Stock/Super Stock is worthy a mention. Thirty-six teams will show their vintage cars from beneath. In the points leader of the Summit Racing EDRS Series before this competition is Rick McCan on 282 points followed by Thomas Strand on 216 points and Anders Lindh on 202. Everyone here has a chance to take home a prestigious win in this competition and in the series.

Pro Street is another popular class. Thirty-two drivers will fight to be a part of Sunday’s eliminations 16 spots. There is a bit of a difference in points between the top three in the table. Seppo Raussi from Finland is at the top with 305 points, followed by Birgitta Lindström of Sweden with 203 points. It will be challenging for Birgitta to get to the top of the board, but nothing is definitive in dragracing. Angelica Larsson Sweden is 15 points behind Birgitta, so there could be a battle for the points in the table. We also welcome Angelo Romero who coming all the way from Spain to race in Pro Street.

Junior Dragster also has a large field of talented young drivers. Here it is about thousandths of a second in reaction time. From the age of 8, you will be well trained for the class upgrade between the ages of 15–25. Seasoned Almathea Granholm leads the points table with 369 points. She is a third generation drag racer and a sharp girl behind the wheel. Not far behind her comes Alfons Åberg with 344 points and Marcus Andersson and Linda Andersson on 330 points. Everyone is equally excited for this weekend’s event, and it will be a tough battle between all 22 participants in the 2022 Summit Racing Internationals.

It´s not only these classes that will run in the Summit Racing EDRS Series at Tierp. Here, in addition to FIA, FIM, EDRS Pro classes, Pro ET and Super Pro ET will finish their own Super Series in an exciting shoot-out at Tierp. Summit Racing Equipment is sponsoring with $10,000 in prize money to each class. It will be a tough challenge for the participants. Good luck, we say to them.

Other participating classes, apart from those stated above, are:

Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Street, Jr Bike, Super Gas Bike, Super comp Bike. We wish all of them a warm welcome to Tierp Arena and the battle of the year. Good luck everyone.
