Jaska Salakari, Jan Sturla Hegre, Vesa Ruhanen and Kalle Lyrén Friday leaders at Tierp Arena

Vesa Ruhanen stormed to a stunning 6.98 seconds to claim the provisional number one qualifying position in Super Street Bike at the first day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, the fourth and final round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. In Super Twin Motorcycle Jaska Salakari impressed with a great 6.28 seconds to secure the provisional number one qualifying spot, while in Pro Stock Motorcycle Kalle Lyrén ran a great 7.01 seconds to claim the number one position after the first day of qualifying. Jan Sturla Hegre took the lead in the Top Fuel Motorcycle category with still one day of qualifying runs to go.

The track and the weather conditions were good at Tierp Arena during the first day of qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals.

In Super Street Bike Vesa Ruhanen stormed to a stunning 6.98 seconds, the Finnish rider’s first 6-second run, to claim the provisional number one qualifying position. Mathias Bohlin, the leader in the championship, recorded 7.12 seconds and is in second position, with reigning champion Mogens Lund third with 7.14 seconds and Alex Hope fourth.

In Super Twin Motorcycle Jaska Salakari impressed with a great 6.28 seconds.

Samu Kemppainen also impressed with a great 6.47 seconds, while championship leader Marcus Christiansen is third with 6.63 seconds. Roman Sixta is in fourth position and Svein Olav Rolfstad fifth.

Kalle Lyrén was in a class if his own in Pro Stock Motorcycle as the Swedish former champion recorded a great 7.01 seconds to claim the provisional number one qualifying position.

Reigning champion Thomas Lysebraate Olsen is the number two qualifier with 7.21 seconds, with Janne Koskinen third with 7.23 seconds.

In Top Fuel Motorcycle Jan Sturla Hegre recorded 6.33 seconds and the Norwegian rider is in the number one position, with Peter Andersson second and Thomas Pettersson third.

Super Comp Bike and Super Gas Bike had their first qualifying run on Thursday and after today’s runs Emil Östlund is the leader in Super Comp Bike with Peter Östlund in second position. Iiro Reinola is leading Super Gas Bike, with Jomar Larsen in second position.

Qualifying for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals, round four of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship continues on Saturday.
