Spring Open – Tallhed Dragways first event of 2017

A respectable number of racers is about to take this early trip to Tallhed Dragway outside Orsa next weekend. More than 70 teams are so far register for Spring Open.

The track is to be re-prepared from start to 60 ft. where the track-crew now have taken away all rubber. New fresh will be on until next weekend, all for the best grip.

– During last mid summerrace it was so hot that the asphalt actually boiled on this part of the track, says Anders Höjer, chairman of Night Cruisers Färnäs, organizer of the event. Big pieces were coming loose from the track, which is why we now must recreate this part of the track. So this weekend all racers are offered a brand-new start line with a good grip.

Let´s see who is coming to the event, among others. All the way from the northern part of Norway we can see Christer Uhlin in Super Gas on the way down with his lovely blue Ford Fairlane. We guess he will challenge the local racers Annica and Angelica Larsson, and off course last year´s winner Håkan Mattsson among all other racers in the class. Mats Lusth, winner in Pro Street in Malmoe last weekend,  is coming back to his town of birth Orsa to continue the series racing. The same goes for Jr Dragbike rider Samuel Rundström who also is taking the trip to Tallhed Dragway next weekend.

In Super Street we find last year series winner Ulf Axelsson who certainly going to defend that position here as well as he did last weekend. Good luck all racers.
