VP Racing Fuels are more than just Speedgroup’s official racing fuel partner

The 2020-season marks the fourth year in the partnership between VP Racing Fuels and Speedgroup. The cooperation started in 2017 when VP Racing Fuels joined the Speedgroup contingency program and was intensified one year later when VP Racing Fuels was named the official racing fuel partner for Speedgroup. Matthew Carabott makes full-time debut in FIA European Championship

Matthew Carabott will make his debut in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship as the driver of the famous Maltese Mr. Whippy Racing Top Methanol Dragster. Carabott, who made his licencing runs last year at Santa Pod Raceway, will get off to a flying start of his career with a full season in competition, as the team have planned to take part in all five rounds of the FIA European Championship. Tony Bryntesson with A-Fuel Team Sweden back to quarter mile racing

The name Tony Bryntesson will not immediately ring a bell for the latest generation of drag race fans in Europe, but it will for the die-hard fans from the 1980s and 90s. After a career in several categories up to Top Fuel, the Swede made his last quarter mile runs in 1995 before switching to circuit racing and starting his own team in the V8 Thunder Car Series. But as has happened so many times before, the attraction of nitro and the quarter mile came back and thanks to Jonny Lagg, after a 25-year break, Bryntesson will be back in action and again in a nitro car, an A-Fueler in the FIA European Top Methanol Championship. The Lion is back

The Maltese Lion is ready to rumble again! After a one year break, Duncan Micallef will be back in action in the FIA European Top Fuel Championship this season. The 2017 FIA European champion will not be able to do the full tour, but will definitely be at The Main Event, the NitrOlympX and the European Finals. Micallef will get his first taste of nitro at the Festival of Power. The Maltese Lion will feel comfortable very soon as he will run his familiar red 2017 championship winning RF Motorsport car again. Continue reading

Full FIA Top Fuel tour for Susanne Callin

After a 14-year break from the FIA European Top Fuel Championship, Susanne Callin made her comeback last season to see if the feeling was still there and if driving a Top Fuel car was really what she missed so much in all those years. Everybody knew the answer in advance and as expected, after only two runs there was the confirmation. As a result, the comeback is definite and Callin will do the full FIA European Top Fuel Championship in 2020! “Testing days are over and I am all in!” said a determined Susanne Callin. The Tierp Internationals is the second round of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, the opening round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship and EDRS Pro Series and a round for the Summit Racing EDRS Series.
