Red Line Oil Scandinavia join 2017 Speedgroup Contingency Program

Red Line Oil have a reputation in drag racing for the high quality motor oils and fuel additives, and their products are used by many teams in the most demanding motorsport on earth. Red Line Oil Scandinavia  is the latest partner to join the 2017 Speedgroup contingency program. “We want to broaden the Red Line trademark and we want the racers to experience the high quality of our products and thereby save parts with lower costs as a result,” said L-O Jonsson, responsible for sales and marketing in the south and southeast region of the Red Line Oil Scandinavia market.

Since 1979 Red Line Synthetic Oil has grown to manufacture more than 100 quality products, including motor oils, gear oils, assembly lubes, fuel additives and its popular Water Wetter cooling additive for the automotive, motorcycle, marine and industrial markets. Based in Benicia, California, Red Line have a reputation with racers and enthusiasts for creating products that perform and protect better than any on the market regardless of price. Founded by president Tim Kerrigan (retired) and the late Peter Filice to produce lubricants for the racing industry, Red Line Oil now distributes its diverse line of products across the globe. The company brings knowledge of available technologies and responds to technical challenges, satisfying the high demands of the performance industry. Red Line´s employees are enthusiasts that stay on top of each performance niche, ensuring that product recommendations allow customers make the significant performance gains. The plant in Benicia today has 35 employees.

“Red Line Oil Scandinavia started up in 1992 as the first importer of Red Line Oil in Europe,” said L-O Jonsson, who lives in the southern part of Sweden, just outside the town of Älmhult, (“Yes, that´s where IKEA was born!”), and works with sales and marketing, mainly in the south and southeast region. “The company was founded by Bert Jareblom and he is still the owner. Today we have four employees working with sales and administration on the market in Sweden, Norway and Finland and are located in Täby. Red Line products can be found in all the bigger auto parts chains in Sweden and Finland. We buy functions like warehousing and marketing and we have a large involvement in motorsports, cooperating with several different race teams in different categories.”

“As Red Line Oil Scandinavia we market and sell our high quality fuel additives and super premium oils. The Shockproof Gear oils are well known in racing, as well as our assembly lubes and the popular Water Wetter cooling additive. We also have a high quality motorcycle program,” said Jonsson. In drag racing Red Line Oil is known by many teams as being one of the best, if not the best, there is, and Jonsson knows why: “Red Line formulate fully-synthetic oils and chemically-advanced additives using the world´s finest base stocks. Rather than cutting costs by blending in petroleum products, Red Line’s motor oils and gear oils use superior ester base stocks that provide extreme stability at high temperatures and superior film strength at lower viscosities where more power can be produced. Red Line is also used in many other forms of motorsport, like speedway, circle track racing, rally, motocross, snowmobile and tractor pulling. It might be interesting to know for competitors, that since we ourselves are involved in both the drag racing community and other motorsports, we can provide the race teams with track support and of course products on site.”

With immediate effect Red Line Oil Scandinavia will join the Speedgroup contingency program. “We think that Speedgroup have created a good package that benefits the racers and spread our trademark to a wide group of people. With our participation we want to broaden the Red Line trademark and of course increase the sales in a longer perspective. We want the racers to experience the high quality of our products and thereby save parts with lower costs as a result.”

Drag racing and the Speedgroup contingency program are also important in Red Line Oil Scandinavia’s  marketing strategy. “Drag racing is our main focus in motorsports. We want to give all racers the benefit of lower costs through fewer broken parts and also give something back to the winner and runner-up in the different categories. It´s also important that the race fans and spectators recognize the trademark in the racing environment and to understand that Red Line Oil stands for superior quality.”
