Leif Larsson likes to drive fast

Leif Larsson is loud and clear when asked about his goals for this season. “I want to win the Cup and hope to drive a low 7-second run.” Ambitious, but as a real racer you have to go for the highest possible and if that’s the EDRS Pro Nordic MC Super Street Bike title, why not? But there are many other riders with the same goal and so it will be a tough championship race that might go down to the last race of the season.

Leif Larsson is already in the sport for eleven years now. The last four years Super Street Bike was his class, and next season it will be again. The machine operator from Arbrå, Sweden, rides a Suzuki Hayabusa Turbo. In August at Sundsvall with 7.43 seconds and 319 km/h Leif reset his personal bests, but in his fifth SSB-season he wants to go quicker. “I hope to go into the low 7 seconds. That should be possible.” Last season Leif was the number five in the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship, but for 2015 he has higher expectations. “My main goal for this season is to win the Cup. I see Björn Friström and Anders Blanck as the most important rivals, but many others can be fast too.”

Leif didn’t stay in Scandinavia only, he traveled to Hockenheim and Santa Pod to race against the fast English, German and Maltese riders too. This season Leif will be part of Elvira Racing and supported by Markservice, Bollnäs bilvård and Rogers Transport och Service. As so many other Swedish riders Tierp Arena is his favorite track and asked for the reason why he races Super Street Bike, the answer is short and simple: “because I like to drive fast!” That is for sure a good reason and if he does, he might be in the winner’s circle this year.
