The past year was not the best racing year, as the car didn’t perform well due to different circumstances.
– We will fix that under the off-season, says Christer. Despite the disappointment of the season he manage to finish in third place in the Summit EDRS series. The Åberg Family has become well-known in the Nordic Junior Dragracing.

Thanks to the passion and dedicated of each member. Martin Åberg the father, spent many years in a Compettition team EE-racing as a mechanic, which laid the groundwork for a familytradition centered around the thrill of dragracing.

As the children Alfons, Anton and Alice grew up, the dragracing strip naturaly became a second home for the family. When they reached the appropriate age, they rented a junior dragster from Shra Sundsvall to introduce the kids into the sport.

After a successful trial season, the decision was made to invest their own dragster solidifying their commitment to the sport. Alfons and Anton began their racing journey at age of eight, while Alice obtained her racing license at just six years old.

Their dedication and hard work have paid off, as the family has collected many trophies over the years.Alfons has consistently demonstrated his progress by finishing in second place in Swedish championship for three years and he also secured the second position in the EDRS series.

Alice the youngest ot the trio, made head lines when she won her first medal in the swedish champion at the tender age of eight. She has since then claimed third place in the Swedish Championship for two years in a row with great results in EDRS. Anton is eager to explore new challenges and switched from junior dragster to Junior bike in the start of 2024 season. This decision proved fruitful as he clinched first place in UM and secured third place in both the Norwegian cup and in the EDRS Series.

The year 2024 has been successful for team Åberg with the family bringing home three trophies from the EDRS series and consistently landing on the podium in different Championships. Alfons enters the final season in the junior class, he is contemplating his next steps in dragracing for 2025, eager to take on new challenges. Anton will continue competing in junior bike for at least another season, while Alice has one more year in the Junior/MB before transition to a faster dragster.

Martin Åberg encapsulates the spirit of their racing journey with saying; Two is a pair, three is a team. The future looks bright for the team Åberg as they chase their racing dreams together.
