Christer Uhlin is a passionate driver from Malvik, located near Trondheim in Norway. With his Ford Fairlane Sport Coupe he competes in the Super Gas class. His dragracing journey began when he was a busdriver to the Trønderbird team from Trondheim. He became captivated by both the atmossphere and all the friends he meet at various events. Christer started his own team, wich has been active for about 20 years.
The team consist of his beloved Marit, who handles most of the logistics, timing cards, registration etc. Olav Skjervö, who usually drives the teambuss and works ont the race car during the competitions. I’ts a a close-knit team that has travelled and competed on many circuits in Europe such as England, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Estonia and of course Norway. Over the years their racing has giving results in many trophies, including seven serie wins in EDRS Summit Racing and NDRS serie in Norway.
For 2024 years season there was made a mix with the Super classes.
Super street, Super gas and Super Comp came together as one class and the starting procedure for those went in to a handicapstart.
– It took a while to get used to the handicap start, but I soon got the hang of it, says Christer
The past year was not the best racing year, as the car didn’t perform well due to different circumstances.
– We will fix that under the off-season, says Christer. Despite the disappointment of the season he manage to finish in third place in the Summit EDRS series. He is now looking forward to getting back on the tracks, meet friends who are out there and compete in the Summit EDRS series. He hopes to create new enjoyable racing memories and have a fun racing year 2025.
