Summary of 2022 from Pro Stock team Malmgren Racing

2022 summary from one of our Pro Stock teams came in and here we can read about what happen during the season in the Malmgren Racing team. Thank You guys for keeping us updated!

“We had a pretty good solid outing in 2022, low qualifier at Tierp Scandinavian Nationals, and reach Finals against Robin Norèn, but with some clutch issues we hit tire shake. A Final we felt we should have won, considering our strong numbers all weekend. 

At Hockenheim we did struggle in the heat and never got the car up to speed, so nr 2 qualifier behind Jimmy Ålund, and with Stefan Ernryd just behind as nr 3 qualifier. In semi against Ernryd I made a big mistake and double staged the car and got the red and that was it, very frustration for hole team, as if we would win this round and loose in finals, we would have the Championship in our hands. Now we needed to win at Santa Pod Euro Finals but Ålund needed also to go out in semifinal. We did our thing and came back strong and another low qualifier position and final round outing, but against the wrong guy, Mr Ålund. Both ran almost inditical with 6,613 to 6,617 and Jimmy nailed the tree with a 0,02-reaction time so as usual he didn’t leave much left on the table, but I also knew I had nothing to lose so I nailed it even harder with a 0,004 reaction and by that took the checker flag, but only Runner up in Championship missing the win with 9 points. We could afford one mistake this year but made two and that cost us the Championship.

We already are looking forward for 2023 season and plan to get some more ponies under the hood.
