Head reflects, skips 2026, and looks to 2027

Bradley Head has been testing the FIM-E Super Street Bike water over the past two years as part of the JKE RaceWorks collective. While results haven’t quite gone to plan, Head has had a lot of quality experience on the European tour. Planning on stepping back next season, Head is looking to upgrade his Hayabusa significantly with the aiming of resuming competition in the toughest class in FIM-E racing in 2027.

“Plenty of ups and downs, as always we had a blast on the European tour making memories with the racing family! But unfortunately the racing side of things didn’t go how I wanted it too this year many reasons as to why some bad luck, some bad riding, but that’s racing, but we have still learned plenty and will take this into the future!
Next year we will be taking a year out from racing to recover and upgrade the bike from a hectic few years. The SSB field took another massive step this year, which means to be competitive going forward we need to upgrade the bike and come back stronger and faster!

I’d like to thank Jake Mechaell [JKE team leader and 2025 champion] for all his support over the last few years, we have achieved so many things that I could never have dreamed of a few years ago and I simply could not have done it without him. Jordan Kenway for putting up with me all year, it’s been a blast I really appreciate the support! Kostas for always pushing me to the next level and not letting me rest and also helping develop the bike so we have a heading for the future. Hayden Mechaell [Jake’s son and currently competing in the index classes] for being there for every pass all the time, you smashed it this year brother. And finally all the JKE RaceWorks family, you guys make every weekend the best, you know who you are!
Many thanks also to my sponsors: JKE RaceWorks, Kathy Taylor and Robin Read.
See you in 2027!”
