de Haas looks to bounce back from a troubled opener

Three time FIM-E Super Twin title holder Martjin de Haas had a troubled opening to the 2023 season after an early exit at Santa Pod Raceway at the end of May.

“We broke a rocker arm in the first round of eliminations at the Main Event. When fixing the bike back home in the Netherland we found out the heads were also damaged.”

Not exactly the way the Haas Brothers wanted to start their ‘23 campaign. However, thanks to some Swedish ingenuity, the team hope to be back in action at the Tierp Internationals barely skipping a beat.

“Mats Åstedt has made a pair of new heads which I will be picking up this Wednesday. So if everything fits at once we will install them on Thursday on the track.”

The Dutch team will need to be on their metal in the face of the seventeen bike entry in Super Twin at the meeting all aiming for a spot in the eight bike field, but they have a habit of putting a number on the board when needed.
