Spring Nats winners crowned at Gardermoen Raceway

At the same moment the FIA European Drag Racing Championship and FIM E European Drag Bike Championship kicked of their season at Santa Pod, NDRG and Gardermoen Raceway opened their season with the Spring Nats, a round for the Summit Racing EDRS Series. After a long winter all racers, teams and spectators were looking forward to a flying start and they were not disappointed.

There was great racing in almost all categories and during the event, after more runs were completed, the ETs went down and the speeds up. Most attention went out to the Pro Stock class as these factory hot rods had their first race of their Summit Racing EDRS Series. After recording a great 6.61 seconds in qualifying, multiple FIA European champion Jimmy Ålund claimed the win by defeating surprise finalist Tommy Leindahl, who advanced to the final after Robin Norén suffered mechanical problems in the first round.

In Super Gas the trophy went to Bent Arild G. Strøm who had a bye run in the final

In the Junior Dragster category the number one and two qualifiers, Victor Barstad and Linus Leander advanced to the final. But unlike in qualifying, in eliminations Leander took the number one spot and claimed the win.

Super Pro ET saw some great racing, but in the end the number one qualifier Jan Henning Klungland took the win over number two qualifier Bjørn Romøren-hultberg

Pro ET had once again a large field and after four elimination rounds Geir Leirvik claimed the win in the final after number one qualifier Stein Jarle Tønnesen broke out

In Pro Comp Bike number one qualifier Peter Rundström was in a class of his own and took an easy win after Theodor Vik pulled a red light in the final

Another Rundström, Samuel, claimed the win in Super Comp Bike after Michael Jensen broke out in the final

In Super Gas Bike Kenneth S. Laget took the win in the final over Kai Elling Os
