Svein Olav Rolfstad, Jan Sturla Hegre and Mathias Bohlin number one qualifiers at Gardermoen Drag Challenge

Svein Olav Rolfstad (Super Twin Motorcycle), Jan Sturla Hegre (Top Fuel Motorcycle) and Mathias Bohlin (Super Street Bike) claimed the number one qualifying positions at the Drag Challenge at Gardermoen Raceway and will lead their respective categories into Sunday’s eliminations at the third round of the 2019 EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship.

Great, sunny, and sometimes a bit too warm weather conditions during the two days of qualifying for the Drag Challenge at Gardermoen Raceway, round three of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship.

In Super Twin Motorcycle Svein Olav Rolfstad claimed the number one qualifying position with 7.03 seconds. The rider from Norway was followed by Torsti Kettula from Finland with 7.21 seconds, with another Norwegian home favourite, Trond Høiberget in third position with 7.37 seconds.

Erling Opheim finished qualifying in fourth position, with Greger Johansson from Sweden fifth.

In Top Fuel Motorcycle there was another home favourite who claimed the number one qualifying position. Jan Sturla Hegre recorded 6.46 seconds, with reigning champion Thomas Pettersson in second position with a great 6.60 seconds and Hans Eriksson third.

In Super Street Bike reigning champion Mathias Bohlin was quickest with a great 7.12 seconds.

Ida Zetterström from Finland stormed to a great 7.15 seconds to claim the number two position, with championship leader Vesa Ruhanen third with 7.24 seconds.

Anders Blanck is fourth with Björn Friström in fifth position.

In Super Comp Bike Tomas Jonsson is the number one qualifier after 11 runs with the almost perfect 8.502 seconds elapsed time. Per Olsen is second with 8.503 seconds, Kjell Aagnes third (8.504 seconds!) and Peter Östlund fourth (8.507 seconds!).

In Super Gas Bike Bo Sørensen jumped into the number one qualifying position with a great 9.512 seconds, with Heikki-Juhani Koskinen second and Jonathan Edwards third.

Eliminations for the Drag Challenge will start tomorrow morning.
