Racepak and Post & Dros also in 2017 Speedgroup Contingency Program

Racepak and Post & Dros extend their partnership in the Speedgroup contingency program for the 2017 season. For the third consecutive year, Dick Koster, since early 2017 a full time employee for Post & Dros Racing Engines & Parts, the European importer of all Racepak products, will run the trackside support service at all FIA European Drag Racing Championship races.

Racepak hardly need any further introduction. They are the world’s leading company in data logging for all forms of motorsport (in drag racing from sportsman to professional racing). The company from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, have a large range of products, from the single original Racepak data recorder, to a large selection of unique loggers, software, digital dashes and ancillary equipment, all designed for the sole purpose of gathering data.

Post & Dros Racing Engines & Parts, based in Dronten, The Netherlands, are the European distributor for Racepak and MSD and many other major engine parts and motorsport suppliers. Post & Dros have all the test facilities necessary to test, service, check or repair Racepak and MSD systems. Post & Dros are also specialized in (V8) engine tuning and overhauling. Owners Egbert Dros and Johannes Post have a long track record in tractor pulling, but with their highly trained staff Post & Dros now also play a major role in drag racing and stockcar racing. Post & Dros are an ‘elite Racepak dealer’, which means they can give all possible support to customers and the employees involved attended all available training and courses.

Along the lines of the Racepak trackside support service at NHRA races, Post & Dros started the same service in 2014 at some FIA European Drag Racing Championship races. It was an instant success and Dick Koster, the Post & Dros employee and responsible for this service, was back in 2015 for all FIA races. Business grew rapidly and in 2017, for the third consecutive year, Koster will be at all FIA European Championship races, but now as a full time employee for Post & Dros. “There are so many teams that use Racepak. When they get familiar with our trackside support service, and they know that you can help them out with a problem or missing parts, the more requests for assistance you get. It’s great when I can help them out and I see them make trouble free runs the rest of the weekend. But also in the shop in Dronten business was booming, not Racepak only, but MSD and other parts as well. So in February I joined Post & Dros as a full time employee,” said Koster.

Racepak and Post & Dros also once again extended their partnership in the Speedgroup contingency program. “The contingency program is important for us. Through the contingency program we want the teams to get to know all the options of Racepak products, help them to read and understand the sensors and modules they bought, and give them advise about sensors that can make it easier to find the right set-up and tuning for their engines. But we can also show them that Post & Dros is more than Racepak and MSD only. We supply all the parts that drag racers in Europe use, but for a reasonable and fair price, without all the import duties and taxes that teams normally have to pay when they order parts from the States.”

The Post & Dros customers are very happy with the service and trackside support of the Dutch company. “In the feedback from teams on social media I can see that our presence with the trackside support service for Racepak and MSD products at all races is highly appreciated. Until a few years ago, Racepak and MSD representatives came to one European race a year. The teams are really surprised that there is a company like Post & Dros, so nearby, where they can buy, service and fix almost all their racing parts,” said Koster.

During the FIA European Championship races, Dick Koster will once again work from the Pro Dutch Racing Pro Modified pit area. If the Dutch team doesn’t run the full FIA tour, Koster will have his home base at Tierp Arena with Mats Brag of M.Brag svets & konstruktion, Post & Dros’ Swedish sub dealer for Racepak and MSD. At Alastaro, Finland, Koster can be found with Jari Soini of Kone-ja-Laiteasennus-JSoiniKLS-Teknik.
