Svein Olav Rolfstad raced to the number one qualifying position in Super Twin Motorcycle at the final day of qualifying for the FHRA Nitro Nationals, round two of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship at Alastaro, Finland. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Timo Savolainen claimed the number one qualifying position. In Top Fuel Motorcycle Friday leader Jan Sturla Hegre remained in the number one position, while in Super Street Bike Mogens Lund was in a class of his own and will enter eliminations as the number one qualifier. The EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship kicked off the 2017 season with the Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena, and what a season opener it was. Drama, close racing, surprising winners in several categories, and last but not least, great weather conditions after the rain plagued 2016 season. Anders Hörnström

Anders Hörnström raced to victory in Super Twin Motorcycle at the season-opening Tierp Internationals at Tierp Arena. In the final the Swede defeated Greger Johansson. In Pro Stock Motorcycle Thomas Lysebraate Olsen surprised in the final by defeating number two qualifier Robert Karlsson. There was an even bigger surprise in Top Fuel Motorcycle where Peter Andersson defeated Sverre Dahl in the final. Mogens Lund from Denmark was both quick and consistent and was the winner in Super Street Bike at the first round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. Continue reading →
