Tierp Arena by winter
On Ferbruary 3rd, Speedgroup´s CEO Åsa Kinnemar paid a visit to Tierp Arena for a meeting with Pierre Tilleaus,
the local operations manager since the autumn 2015. She took the opportunity to take a tour and check out what the now completed conference facilities look like…
In the Tierp Arena main building, which us racers more often refer to as the race control/VIP and media building, the conference facilities are now completely finished. The more than 10 rooms can host 500 conference guests on site simultaneously. Pierre could tell that the day conference bookings are starting to take off, although it has only been marketed small scale and locally yet. Nice restaurant and lounge areas are available for the guests to enjoy and full catering is available. And the sun terrace overlooking the fields surroundning the venue will for sure be a nice spot for guests to chill out this summer.
The conference rooms serve as meeting rooms and corporate lounges during the two drag racing events hosted by Tierp Arena the summer 2016; Tierp Internationals June 16-19th and Scandinavian Internationals August 25-28th.
The roof terrace and VIP lounge was undergoing some work and could not be shown this time, but we wished to take the opportunity to show a few of the nice areas that surround this premium drag racing facility.
The drag racing events at Tierp Arena are included in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, EDRS European Drag Racing Series and EDRS Pro Nordic
Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship. For a few car classes the events are also part of the Swedish Championship
Dragracing SM. Speedgroup work with all the series & championships and the cooperation with the organising club NDRS MC and track operator Tierp Arena is ongoing an all year round basis.
