Fredrik Fredlund, Hans Olav Olstad and Richard Stubbins provisional leaders after Friday qualifying at Scandinavian Internationals

With a stunning 6.977 seconds Fredrik Fredlund from Finland is the leader in Pro Stock Motorcycle after the first day of qualifying for the Scandinavian Internationals, the fourth and final round of the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. In Super Twin Motorcycle Hans Olav Olstad is leading, while in Super Street Bike Richard Stubbins is the provisional leader. 

Sunny conditions, good air and a great track at Tierp Arena for the riders in the EDRS Pro Nordic Motorcycle Championship. One look at the scoreboard made loud and clear how good the conditions were.

Kalle Lyrén

In Pro Stock Motorcycle reigning FIM European champion Fredrik Fredlund stormed to a stunning 6.977 seconds, the Finn’s first 6-second run in Europe. With this run Fredlund passed provisional leader after run one, Kalle Lyrén (7.08 seconds). The still reigning EDRS Pro Nordic MC champion is now in second position, with Anders Larsson in third.

With number one and two in the championship, Elvira and Robert Karlsson, separated by only one point, the outcome of the 2015 championship was still completely open. Was, as just before the race Elvira withdrew from the championship as she is pregnant and doesn’t want to take any risk. Robert Karlsson ended the first day of qualifying in fourth position, while his 17-year old daughter and number three in the championship, Ellsa is in fifth position.

Samu Kemppainen

In Super Twin Motorcycle Hans Olav Olstad surprised with 6.53 seconds in his first run, beating championship leader Samu Kemppainen (6.58 seconds). Vidar Ravnsborg from Norway is third (7.17) with Ismo Mäenpää in fourth. Per Bengtsson, the number three in the championship, had serious problems and is in 15th position.

Richard Stubbins

In Super Street Bike the two British riders rule again. Richard Stubbins is the number one qualifier after day one (7.18 seconds) with Alex Hope (7.29 seconds) in second position. Reigning EDRS champion Björn Friström is third, with Nils-Ola Andersson in fourth position.
