From winning a race and leading the championship, to a destroyed dragster a few seconds later, and to see the season come to an early end, to a comeback only a few weeks later, 2025 had it all. The driver of the Jedborn Motorsport and Dave Wilson Racing A-Fuel dragsters looks back on a far from boring season, with in the end a rumour about 2026.

After an impressive debut at Tierp Arena in 2023, Tina Høst Nedregård and Jedborn Motorsport skipped the 2024 season to be back for a full FIA European Top Methanol Championship tour in 2025. Driving the Daniel Jedborn tuned A-Fueler, the ‘Norwegian Swede’ advanced to the final at The Main Event, to claim her first ever FIA win at the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals and take the lead in the FIA European Top Methanol Championship. But the same run that brought her glory, ended in tears as the Jedborn Motorsport dragster crashed into the Tierp Arena sand trap and was severely damaged. It looked like it was an early end to the season, but never underestimate the power of the drag racing family.

“I don’t even know where to start on this story about the 2025 season. One second you’re celebrating the win, the next you’re climbing out of a wreck, trying to process what happened. This year had it all. It was, without a doubt, our craziest season yet. The year started strong. After a year off from racing, long nights in the shop, and a few grey hairs along the way, we were finally on our way back to the track. We made it to the final at The Main Event, that sadly rained away. And again in Tierp, where we took us to the final in the biggest field in years in Top Methanol, and we got to take home my first event win,” Tina looks back on part one of the season.

What looked like the perfect run, wasn’t perfect at all. “Drag racing has a way of humbling you in an instant,” said Tina. In what was supposed to be the best moment in her career so far, everything changed. “In the same pass that brought us a win, left us without a car. Our season was over, or maybe worse. Thankfully, everyone walked away, but the dragster didn’t.”

“When you race in this sport long enough, you meet people who define what it means to be part of the drag racing family. I had barely made it back from the sick bay to the pits before ‘everyone’ was in our pits, asking how they could help us get back racing. This racing family speaks for itself. And because of the enormous support we got, as we were heading out from Tierp Arena, we decided that this can’t be the end of racing for us. It might take time, effort, and money we don’t have. But we will be back. At the same moment we decided to do something we would never do, ask our supporters for financial help. But because of it, we might just make it back.”

It didn’t take long before the news came out that, thanks to Dave Wilson and in a joint effort from Jedborn Motorsport and Dave Wilson Racing, Høst Nedregård would be back in action at the European Finals. “This sport is full of incredible people, and one of its true legends, Dave Wilson, reached out and offered us his car to finish the season. That kind of generosity is something we’ll never forget. Climbing into someone else’s dragster, trying to make it your own, with limited time, it’s a challenge. Getting behind the wheel of that car was a mix of gratitude, nerves, and determination. We worked like crazy to get everything sorted. New car, new setup, new everything, but the same determination. Every pass was a test, every round a fight. Somehow, we made it all the way to the third place in the FIA European Championship. Considering where we were halfway through the year, that feels like a win in itself.”

“Dave Wilson also enjoyed our circus to the point where he will from now on be a part of our team.
