In Top Methanol Tony Bryntesson is the provisional leader, while in Pro Modified and Pro Stock Andreas Arthursson and Jimmy \u00c5lund claimed the provisional number one qualifying position after two runs. With four drivers from Sweden leading their respective categories, the home crowd has plenty to cheer for on day two.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It was a difficult day for the tuners and crew chiefs to sort out the right set-up for the Tierp Arena track and the weather conditions on the first day of qualifying for the SpeedEvents Internationals. It\u2019s almost certain that the elapsed times will drop dramatically on day two and as a result, the qualifying order will change dramatically as well. It will definitely be a very interesting Saturday at Tierp Arena, a day worth visiting to see the fastest and quickest cars in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/callin_DSC_3883.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/callin_DSC_3883.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17958\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Top Fuel Susanne Callin, from Sweden, recorded the quickest elapsed time with 5.46 seconds, a number she will definitely beat on day two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/horto_DSC_3868.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/horto_DSC_3868.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17960\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Antti Horto, from Finland, is the number two qualifier, with Duncan Micallef, from Malta, in third position. All three drivers had traction problems and with a full pass on Saturday, they will improve their ETs dramatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/bryntesson_DSC_3198.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/bryntesson_DSC_3198.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17971\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Top Methanol Tony Bryntesson is the leader with a great 5.37 seconds. The driver from Sweden recorded this ET on his first and only run of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/bellio_DSC_3670.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/bellio_DSC_3670.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17970\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sandro Bellio is in the number two position. Jonny Lagg suffered severe traction problems at the start line on both runs and is the number three qualifier after day one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/arthursson_DSC_3256.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/arthursson_DSC_3256.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17968\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Pro Modified Andreas Arthursson is the leader with 5.93 seconds. The driver from Sweden recorded this ET on his second run of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/persson_DSC_3238.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/persson_DSC_3238.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17964\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c5ke Persson, also from Sweden, recorded 5.94 seconds on his first run of the day and was the provisional leader after the first qualifying session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/rantaniemi_DSC_3719.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/rantaniemi_DSC_3719.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17965\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jere Rantaniemi, from Finland, improved on his second run of the day to 6.00 seconds and is in the number three position after two runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/perman_DSC_3250.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/perman_DSC_3250.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17963\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcus Perman surprised with a great 6.06 seconds to claim the provisional number four position, with David Vegter fifth. With many cars struggling, it\u2019s certain that almost all drivers will improve their ETs on day two of qualifying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/alund_DSC_3849.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/alund_DSC_3849.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17967\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Pro Stock it was once again Jimmy \u00c5lund who was in a class of his own and claimed the provisional number one position with a great 6.58 seconds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/sagelv_DSC_3305.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dragracingeurope.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/sagelv_DSC_3305.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17966\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Christian Sagelv surprised with a great 6.67 seconds and is in second position after two runs.
