Jndia Erbacher raced to the provisional number one qualifying position in Top Fuel at the first day of qualifying for the NitrOlympX, the fourth round\u00a0 of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at the Rico Anthes Quartermile of the HockenheimRing, Germany. In Top Methanol Sandro Bellio is the leader after two runs, while Jan Ericsson claimed the provisional number one spot in Pro Modified and Robin Nor\u00e9n is the provisional number one qualifier in Pro Stock.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

It was a hot but also successful first day of qualifying at the HockenheimRing, as both scheduled qualifying sessions for the FIA classes could be completed. After heavy rain early in the morning, the hard working track crew did a great job in getting the track in racing conditions in time and even in several classes good ETs were recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Top Fuel Jndia Erbacher recorded 4.17 seconds on her first run of the day, also her first run since The Main Event at Santa Pod in May. The Swiss driver is now the provisional number one qualifier at her \u2018home track\u2019, where many countryman will cheer for her tomorrow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susanne Callin is the number two qualifier with 4.41 seconds from her second run of the day, while championship leader Ida Zetterstr\u00f6m has some work to do as the popular driver from \u00c5land, Finland, is the number three after two runs with 5.30 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Top Methanol reigning champion Sandro Bellio was finally back to form as the driver from Belgium recorded\u00a0 a great 5.59 seconds to claim the number one position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Championship leader Silvio Strauch made a great run as well and is the provisional number two, with Linn Fl\u00f8ysvik in third position. Johnny Oksa is fourth and Tony Bryntesson fifth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Pro Modified Jan Ericsson and David Vegter stormed to the numbers one and two qualifying positions with a great side by side 5.970 and 5.974 seconds run. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Swede and the Dutchman are also the numbers one and two in the championship after three races. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bruno Bader was close behind with 5.98 seconds and Michel Tooren fourth with 6.01 seconds. Roger Johansson is the number five with 6.02 seconds and Andres Arnover sixth with 6.07 seconds. There will be many improvements in Saturday qualifying, so all drivers will have to do their very best to claim a spot in the top eight of the elimination ladder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pro Stock cars were struggling with the track conditions on the first day of qualifying. After two runs Robin Nor\u00e9n claimed the provisional number one position, but the driver from Sweden will definitely improve on his 6.83 seconds from Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stefan Ernryd is the number two qualifier with Michael Malmgren third and Simon Ekengren fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifying for the NitrOlympX, round four of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship continues on the Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
